Marcus is the Founding Partner and CEO of Shire Capital Management, where he leads the firm’s investment strategy and oversees the sourcing, execution, and management of its portfolio.
Before founding Shire, Marcus served as Chief Investment Officer at Bonnefield Financial Inc., Canada’s largest manager of farmland investments. There, he helped shape national agricultural investment strategy and built deep experience in the real asset space.
Marcus is deeply committed to the intersection of food, health, and long-term value creation. He believes access to nutrient-dense, responsibly grown food is foundational to individual health—and to the health of society at large.
Vu is a Founding Partner and CFO of Shire Capital Management, where he oversees the firm’s financial strategy, reporting, and operational infrastructure.
Before co-founding Shire, Vu built his career at Brookfield Asset Management, a global leader in real assets and private markets. Over his tenure, he held leadership roles across Brookfield’s offices in Toronto, London, and Dubai—managing financial operations across multiple asset classes and geographies.
Vu brings a global perspective and deep operational expertise to Shire, with a focus on building institutional-quality systems to support long-term investment performance.
Robert joined Shire after graduating from the University of Oxford with a degree in Economics and Management. Prior to joining Shire, Robert had work experience at Sumitomo Mitsui Banking Corporation and the Institute of Economic Affairs, along with consulting projects and entrepreneurial endeavours. Outside of work, Rob enjoys rowing, running and cycling.
